Police block off the area around the incident. Guard Admits Fake ShootingBy Vicky HollowellClick here to listen to Newsradio 620 WTMJ's Vicky Hollowell report on the fake shooting.
A security guard in Glendale has admitted that he fabricated a crime scene and his own shooting.
The guard was patroling an American Transmission Company electrical substation at the time of the "shooting" on June 27. He called 9-1-1, saying that he had been shot, and acted as if he was in pain.
The guard now says he shot his own body armor the day before, and then shot himself in the chest twice with a paintball gun the morning of the faked crime.
Glendale police say the admission came two days after the incident, on June 29, and the guard was transferred to Milwaukee County Mental Health Division on an emergency detention.
The Milwaukee County District Attorneys Office is expected to review the case for possible charges. There's no word on why the guard made up the story. |
