Wauwatosa police are looking for whomever mugged an 85-year-old man in broad daylight.
The World War II veteran was walking to the bank Tuesday morning when a car drove up to him.
A man jumped out and pulled a gun.
"I felt somebody grab my shoulder," said the man, who asked not to be identified.
"I thought it was a friend of mine, I turned around it was a fellow with a hood over his head.
"He says. 'I want your money,' and (I responded), 'well, I don't have any,' so he started to search me.
"I had some checks in my pocket and he took those and he ran off."
The robbers also got the victim's cell phone and called the service provider to see how many minutes were left on the plan.
"I felt like telling him to go get a job, but I didn't want to be sarcastic," said the man. "The other guy was laughing in the car."
Police say the suspects drove away in a black Jeep Cherokee.
It's the second armed robbery in Wauwatosa since Saturday.
