Power restored to 300 customers at Milwaukee County Grounds

UPDATE: All power has been restored to customers as of 10:05 a.m., according to a We Energies spokesperson.


WAUWATOSA -- Nearly 300 customers are without power at the Milwaukee County Grounds -- including Children's and Froedtert Hospitals.

A construction crew working on the Zoo Interchange project hit an underground power line around 8:30 a.m. Thursday near 95th Street and Watertown Plank Road, according to a We Energies spokesman.

He said the facilities have backup power systems.

Crews are currently on scene working to fix the outage.
