3 teens arrested for armed robbery
MILWAUKEE - Three teenagers from Milwaukee were arrested following an armed robbery on Aug. 17.
According to Lt. Mark Stanmeyer with Milwaukee Police, the three teens robbed two 22-year-old women while they were sitting in a car in the 4700 block of N. 41st Street just after midnight Saturday.
Police said they came upon the robbery in progress, and chased the suspects. Two of the suspects were arrested after a short foot pursuit, and a third suspect was later found.
The officers also recovered a gun that the teens threw away while running from the officers.
Vernell D. Homles, 17, has been charged with two counts of armed robbery, Alonzo Thomas, 18, has been charged with two counts of armed robbery and Kevontae J. Gibbs, 18 has been charged with obstructing.
Police are still looking for a fourth known suspect.
