3 shootings in Milwaukee overnight, 1 involving teen
MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating three shootings from overnight, one involving a 13-year-old boy.
Police said the teen was shot on a porch around 9:15 p.m. near Buffum Street and North Avenue after an argument with two suspects walking past. One of the suspects fired several shots from the sidewalk and the boy was hit. The teen has non-life threatening injures. No suspects are in custody.
Another shooting happened around 10:20 p.m. near Atkinson Avenue and 26th Street. Police said a 21-year-old man was shot during a fight, potentially with a known suspect. Officials are working to determine the name of the suspect.
The third shooting happened around midnight. Police said they received a call from a local hospital emergency room regarding a man in critical condition with several gunshot wounds. The 24-year-old man could not give a detailed statement, but officers found evidence and a possible shooting scene near Meinecke Avenue and 18th Street.
