Big Pothole Fixed on I-94 in Waukesha County

By Jay Sorgi

Crews in Waukesha have fixed a big hole on I-94 that left several cars with flat tires and caused a big backup this morning.

The hole brought more than a half a dozen cars to the curb on I-94 Westbound near Calhoun Road and shut down the left lane, which has since been re-opened.

"We had several vehicles off on the side of the road, somewhat in a disabled condition from flat tires," said Waukesha County Sheriff's Detective Steve Pedersen.

"They were able to change those tires, inspect their vehicles, found that they were safe to move on.

"That whole area in there is slow anyway, so this certainly added to that."

Crews used a concrete patch on it to fill the hole.
