WAUKESHA COUNTY -- State Representative Bill Kramer of Waukesha faces charges of sexual assault and will begin trial October 28. Kramer is the former Majority Leader in the Assembly.
The Journal Sentinel reports Kramer was charged in March with two felony charges of second-degree sexual assault stemming from an incident three years ago. The assault charges were filed this spring after Kramer drew criticism for allegedly harassing two other women in a more recent case.
One of those women was a legislative aide, who filed a personnel complaint against Kramer. The other woman is a lobbyist.
Kramer was stripped of his leadership post in March. He will not run for re-election this fall.
