City leaders say it will cost more than $100,000 to have the water pumped out and dumped into the Bark River. They'll try and get FEMA to cover some of that.
Many homes are still underwater and some people like PJ Atkinson say the only way to get around is by boat.
"Anything will help now, anything," said Atkinson. "We are all suffering horrendously."
The company will begin pumping the lake next week. City leaders don't expect water to actually recede until November.
