MILWAUKEE -- A large water main break on Milwaukee's north side is still being fixed following reports of water flooding around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The six inch break near the intersection of Townsend and Palmer Streets was so large it ended up damaging a city sewer line as well, according to Carrie Lewis with Milwaukee water works.

Lewis said there have been 244 water main breaks in Milwaukee in February.

Water is expected to be back on by 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
