Should Torres Have Still Been Behind Bars?

By Tim Lethlean

The ex-wife of a man who caused a massive police search and Amber Alert on Monday thinks he should have still been in prison, "He goes into these rages and there's just no stopping him."

He already served six years behind bars for beating his ex-wife Deanna and abducting their daughter ten years ago, but she doesn't think the sentence was long enough given how violent Torres was:  "He broke into my house and he just started beating on me.  He told the kids that he was going to kill me, that they would never see me again."

Luckily, when Torres beat his current girlfriend and kidnapped their daughter this week, authorities were able to quickly find him.  Walworth County Sheriff's Deputies say they were then forced to shoot and kill Torres before he could harm his daughter Liliana.
