Suspect charged in Oak Leaf trail assault
MILWAUKEE -- Prosecutors have charged a man with sexually assaulting two women on Milwaukee's East Side earlier this week.
Prosecutors say Tyrone Wilder admitted to slapping a woman on the rear end while she was running in the 16-hundred block of north prospect. A short time later, he then assaulted another woman.
Officers on bike responded, and saw Wilder, who ran and hid in bushes on Lincoln Memorial Drive. He had a cut on his head, and he told EMT's he recieved the cut after being hit on the head by woman because he was doing something he shouldn't have been doing.
Wilder told police he did it because he had been drinking wasn't thinking straight.
If convicted, Wilder faces up to 40 years in prison.
