Woman Dead After Being Struck by Boat

WILLIAMS BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Walworth County authorities have identified the woman struck and killed by a boat this weekend at Geneva Lake.

Law enforcement officials said Sunday she was 28-year-old Christina Ann Tully, a Chicago resident originally from Winter Garden, Florida.

Authorities say Tully had fallen off her wakeboard Saturday about 2 p.m. and was waiting for her boat to pick her up. As a second boat passed nearby its propellor struck Tully.

The 64-year-old driver of the other boat said he didn't see her.

Authorities say neither boat driver had been drinking, and no charges are expected.

Police say a storm was approaching at the time and waves were at least two to three feet high. Authorities had initially said waves reached as high as six feet.
