Charges filed against alleged Miller Park vandal
Jill McIntyre was arrested Sunday by the Milwaukee County Sheriff, with charges pending.
MILWAUKEE - Charges have been filed against the woman suspected of vandalizing statues at Miller Park on Sunday, Aug. 1.
A witness buying tickets said she saw a red minivan pull into the area. The woman got out of the van and started throwing blue paint on the Bud Selig statue. She threw sheetrock on the "Worker's Memorial" statue, and was writing on the 620 WTMJ portable trailer.
The witness attempted to get the license plate of the red van, and the suspect allegedly threw a wooden chisel out of the van, "in an attempt to hit her".
An officer responding to the stadium spotted a van that looked like the suspect's van and pulled her over. The officer said she asked "if he liked her work at the Brewers Stadium".
Jill McIntyre, 54 of Mukwonago, has been charged with two counts of Felony Criminal Damage to Property. If convicted, she could face up to seven years in prison.
