Marking the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech
WASHINGTON - Fifty years ago Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his "I Have a Dream Speech" in front of a crowd of thousands.
Wednesday, thousands more commemorated the civil rights leader with their own speeches. President Obama marked the anniversary by speaking from the very same steps.
People in Wisconsin also celebrated the anniversary. A "Let Freedom Ring" ceremony was held on the steps of the Racine City Hall at 3 p.m. There was also a nationwide bell ringing at 3 p.m. central time to mark the exact moment Dr. King delivered his speech.
Below is the official program for the 1963 March on Washington.
