Summerfest: Don't Leave Valuables Visible at Park-and-Rides

Milwaukee County Sheriffs have an important message for those heading down to Summerfest: don't leave valuables visible in your parked car.

Sheriff David Clarke says certain items tend to catch the eye of criminals and they'll definitely be around the County-operated park-and-rides during the festival.

The Basics:
When? 
Today through Sunday, July 6, 12:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
How much? 
Weekdays before 4:00 p.m.: $8
Weekdays after 4:00 p.m. and weekends: $15
Seniors 60+ and children under 10: $3
Children two and younger: free

"The number one items, choice items of thieves, are the navigation systems and portable satellite radio system," says Clarke.

Other things thieves are looking for include laptops and cameras.

The Sheriffs department will have undercover deputies in parking lots looking for these kinds of crimes.
