Man suffers traumatic brain injury after assault outside bar
RACINE - A man is in the hospital after reportedly being assaulted Thursday morning outside of a bar in Racine.
The 23-year-old was outside the Vintage Rock Cafe at 3701 Durand Avenue, just after midnight Thursday morning, according to the Racine Journal Times. The man was said to be unconscious when the call came in.
When police arrived, the man was "conscious, but not coherent," according to Sgt. Jessie Metoyer with the Racine Police.
The man was flown to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa after he was found to have a traumatic brain injury. He is currently in critical condition.
The assault is under investigation.
