Oshkosh - A man whose conviction for a 1991 rape was overturned has been set free.

Joseph Frey, 54, was being held in the Winnebago County Jail since his conviction was overturned in May. The Oshkosh Northwestern reported he was released from jail Friday after prosecutors asked the judge to dismiss the case, saying there was insufficient evidence to retry him.
