WEST ALLIS - Highway 100 at I-94 has been re-opened after We Energies was forced to fix a power line and pole that were damaged by a crash earlier Friday.

A truck crashed into the pole just before 7 a.m. Friday. The pole then fell onto a second truck.

"The live wires did and were sparking and scorched the top of the semi and a tire," said Fran McLaughlin with the  Milwaukee Sheriff's office.

No one was hurt in the crash, but the truck driver had to stay in his truck until the live wires were contained.

The driver did have a permit, but his permit required a police escort, which he did not have. He was cited for Inattentive Driving and Operating an Overlength Vehicle without Permit.

We Energies has to replace the pole, which could take most of the morning.

Highway 100 is closed in both directions over I-94. The on and off ramps to I-94 are also closed there.
