SUMMERFEST - It's day three of Summerfest, and the Big Gig prepares to head into its first weekend. Hopefully the weather will hold up a little better than Thursday.

A heavy downpour put the party on pause Thursday afternoon, but it cleared up to end the day right.

Friday, the big act at the Marcus Amphitheater is Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. The band will take the stage at 8:00 p.m. with special guests The Smithereens.

Other big names appearing Friday include LL Cool J at the BMO Harris Pavilion at 8 p.m., Cake with be at the Miller Lite Oasis at 10 p.m., Phil Vassar will be at the Briggs and Stratton Big Backyard at 10 p.m., and Switchfoot will be at the U-Line Warehouse at 10 p.m.

As always, there are ways to get in free. Friday is Klement's Day.

The first 1,500 patrons will get free admission if they provide a Klement's product label, and a non-perishable food item. The label has to be from a Klement's product eight ounces or larger.

All donations benefit Feeding America.
