MADISON - Numerous areas of Madison are underwater, and the National Weather Service has issued a flash flooding warning for a small portion of Walworth County.

According to Madison Traffic, there are stranded cars and flooded intersections across Madison. Emergency vehicles are having a hard time getting through the water in many locations.

There are up to three feet of water in numerous areas of Dane County, according to the Capital Times.

"We have 10-15 roads with issues," said Carrie Meier with Dane County Emergency Management. "There is a request for barricades to keep people off those roads."

Meier added that the water is receding but they are still floods, and some major thoroughfares are expected to have delays Wednesday morning. One of the big trouble spots is University Avenue in Madison, where it is flooded near University Hospital.

There are currently no injuries reported, but there are many stranded drivers.
