Family grieves over 6-year-old girl killed, father who took his own life

MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee grandmother of a six-year-old girl who was murdered by her own father is begging for forgiveness.

She doesn’t want people to think her son is a “monster.”

More than 100 people grieved the loss of Ja'Kyla King at an emotional vigil Monday night.

She’s being remembered as a girl who loved her father.
 
"Blessed the mama who lost her baby, Lord, said Pastor Robert Angel at Redemption Fellowship Church.

Janey King lost her six-year old grand daughter Ja’Kyla.    

"All I want to say is I’m sorry. I’m so sorry that’s all I can say," said King.

She also lost her son, Jeramie, a rapper who went by the nick name J-Black.  Jeramie killed himself after killing his daughter over a fight he had with the child’s mother.

"This is my son here.  My son had love in his heart. He was not a monster," said King.  

Ja’Kyla’s mother, Kavina Wallace, was too distraught to talk, but was surrounded was surrounded by love and hugs.

"You see there’s two families that’s going through something right now and everybody is hurting," Marlon Hood, Jeramie's brother.

Hurting for a little girl who recently gave her dad a Father’s Day card with these words:

"I feel safe when you are with me, you show me fun things to do, I smile when I see you, and learn  from watching you.  You're my role model and so I want to say,  I love you and wish you a Happy Father's Day."
