Search for suspect after daylight shooting in store

MILWAUKEE - Police said Friday afternoon they were searching for a man who apparently shot a corner store employee while at work.

The shooting happened at about 9:00 a.m. Friday morning inside a store at the corner of North Teutonia Avenue and West Townsend Street.

According to police, a black man went into the store, went up to the 22-year-old man working inside the store, and shot him.

Rescue crews took him to a local hospital, where he was listed in serious condition.

Police say the suspect and victim may have known each other.
