New information reveals missing girl may have taken part in bank robbery
MILWAUKEE - Court documents that show Jessica Benson is linked to a robbery that happened where she worked, at Educator's Credit Union.
Jessica Benson is a young college student who disappeared just days before her graduation. Her family made several public pleas to help find her, and police are still looking for her and her boyfriend.
"I know she was taken by somebody," Jessica’s mother Donna Benson says.
But now, it looks like Benson may have wanted to disappear. Court records show that show she may be connected to a robbery at the bank where she worked as a teller, something her family worried about at the time.
“I do believe that they are connected somehow," Judith Beyer, Jessica’s sister says.
Police say two men robbed the Educator's Credit Union, using the drive-thru. But court records reveal that someone told police: "Jessica Benson and her boyfriend Nathaniel Robinson planned the robbery of Educators Credit Union."
The records also show that the terminology used in the note was the same terminology used by bank employees.
And witnesses told police Benson cut her hair and dyed it light brown, and that she and her boyfriend moved out of their apartment during the middle of the night.
Two other men have already been charged in the robbery.
