SHEBOYGAN - The murder trial for a 14-year-old boy will start in Sheboygan County on Monday.

Nathan Paape is accused of helping his friend murder his 78-year-old great grandmother. Opening statements are expected to get underway at the Sheboygan County Courthouse Monday morning at 9 a.m.

Barbara Olson's body was found in her Sheboygan Falls home last September. The murder gripped the community for days, since many were terrified that a killer was walking free. Authorities say that a hammer and hatchet were used to kill the 78-year-old.

Paape is accused of helping Olsen's great grandson, Antonio Barbeau, with the murder. Both boys were 13 at the time, and both were charged as adults.

Prosecutors say money was the motive, and they also believe the boys tried to hide Olson's body.

Antonio Barbeau pleaded No Contest and will be sentenced in August.
