MILWAUKEE -- After being pulled from the Milwaukee River, an unidentified person has been transferred to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa.

Battallion Chief Ray Groth tells us MFD responded to a report just before 3 p.m. that three people were in the water near Wisconsin Avenue and North Riverwalk Way in downtown Milwaukee. Two people were able to pull themselves from the river while the third was pulled out by a police boat.

The Journal Sentinel reports the victim was walking along the Riverwalk and "somehow ended up in the river".

While performing CPR, Groth said paramedics "did get a rhythm back" though the person is still in critical condition.

No word on whether or not drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident.
