A trip through Wednesday's storm
BEAVER DAM - As we set out on US 41 it didn't take long for the sky to open up, creating hazardous driving conditions on the highway. At one point we could barely see 10 feet in front of us.
The rain got so bad we stopped just outside of Horicon.
It’s like a shower out here as you can see the wind has picked up and the rain is just whipping across.
On the back roads, run-off created an impromptu stream covering the road.
By the time we made it to Beaver Dam, the storm had already blown through heading east for Milwaukee.
We Energies blames lighting and high winds for knocking out power to thousands of customers.
