BROOKFIELD -  Elmbrook Church has a regular disaster response team, that according to its website, is ready to mobilize within 48 hours.

This weekend instead of going to a party, a picnic or a parade, members of this non-denominational church are heading to Moore, Oklahoma, to help those devastated by a tornado that killed 24 people.

The team had planned to go to Texas last week after a tornado ripped through the Dallas-Fort Worth area, but that was delayed because of approaching storms which ended up centered on the Oklahoma City area.
