Wisconsin experts brace for possible severe weather
MILWAUKEE - Parts of the south and Midwest are being pummeled by tornadoes and other severe weather, and folks in Wisconsin are bracing for the potential threat.
A tornado hit the ground on Monday, tearing through Oklahoma City. Forecasters and volunteers in wisconsin stand ready.
More than 50 tornadoes have touched down across the plains and the Midwest.
Things are a bit quieter closer to home, for now.
Forecasters at the national weather service are the people who issue severe weather warnings for counties in our area. They're carefully watching weather patterns to see where the storms will turn.
"Within a state of us, there's a very high threat of tornadoes,” said Jeff Craven with the National Weather Service. “Iowa, Illinois, and maybe into Wisconsin."
Everyone is hoping Wisconsin is spared from the rough weather.
