Powerball fever hits Milwaukee after $1M ticket sold
MILWAUKEE - Who is it?
Who's the newest millionaire in Milwaukee?
A store on the city's east side sold a $1 million Powerball ticket.
There was a lot of buzz Monday at the Pick 'n Save on East Garfield Avenue near North Humboldt Street.
"It would have been nice (for me to win,)" said Sharon Gamm.
"I called my sister in Antigo first because I knew there was one ($1 million) ticket sold there, and wondered if her daughter in Tampa won (the $590 million Powerball grand prize). So far nothing. I looked at my tickets this morning. Nothing."
The Milwaukee Powerball winner matched five of the six winning numbers for Saturday night's drawing.
This was the first big Powerball win at that store, but no one knows yet who it is.
"There's really no way of knowing unless the customer says it was me."
