Drivers tell of traffic nightmares on I-94
MILWAUKEE - Drivers in both directions of I-94 in Milwaukee County were forced to inch along, as construction work completely shut down the highway at Rawson.
Today's TMJ4's Todd Hicks spoke with some angry people, stuck in traffic, that according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation stretched at least three miles in the southbound lanes.
Some people, like Jim Timmerman, resorted to riding his bicycle, saying he wasn't about to get caught in that mess.
Others scrambled to escape, then got pulled over for going around the orange barrels.
This is the kind of traffic that Milwaukee hasn't seen in years.
The DOT says I-94 could reopen around 9am Sunday.
