RACINE, Wis. - The grandmother of a three year old boy found unresponsive in his Mt. Pleasant home is devastated after learning of his death.

Jennifer Wise tells Today's TMJ4's Todd Hicks that baby was her heart and soul.

Wise says the child's mother claims the toddler, Hunter Wise, was taking a bath and that the mother's boyfriend went to check on his children when he heard a thunk.

The mother reportedly said that her boyfriend then discovered Hunter had drowned in the bathtub, but Wise isn't so sure.

"There were several times where we just didn't want to answer the door, just wanted to keep him, but the judge said he had to go."  Wise says she had called child protective serves, human services and the health department after finding her grandson shut in a very warm closet.   "We never heard nothing back and now we lost him," said Wise.

Now, the mother's boyfriend, 25 year old Marcus Johnson, is being held in the Racine County Jail and charges are expected to be filed on Monday.
