16-year-old charged with shooting stranger
MILWAUKEE - Charges have been filed against a man from Milwaukee accused in the death of Samuel Bussanich on May 7 on 23rd and Center.
There was a woman and man in the car with Bussanich. The man told police they were in the area "waiting to purchase narcotcs" when a man approached the car and pointed a gun at Bussanich. Bussanish then put the car in drive.
Police later interviewed Larry Whittaker, 16 of Milwaukee, who told police, "Somebody put me up to it man." He said a man told him the people in the car were looking for drugs and he could get $10,000 for holding them up. When he did it, the car took off and he shot at the car "4 to 5 times but then stated it was maybe 8 or 10 times."
Bussanich died from gunshot wounds sustained in the shooting.
Whittaker has been charged with First-Degree Intentional Homicide and two counts of First-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety.
