Report: Wisconsin among worse places to retire
MILWAUKEE - Wisconsin is one of the worst places to retire in the nation, according to a new report.
The list from bankrate.com ranks Wisconsin as the fifth worst state for retirement.
That's based on our cold temperatures, relatively high local and state taxes and an above average cost of living.
But Bankrate points out there is a lot to love about living in the Badger state.
It's got a low crime rate, it's great for anyone who loves football, fishing, beer, cheese, and the outdoors.
Coming in at dead last on the list is Oregon, and the best place to retire is Tennessee.
