MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Department of Transportation warns drivers they will be closing parts of I-94 in the near future.

"As part of I-94 N-S Freeway Reconstruction Project, WisDOT will be installing a Storm Sewer Culvert across I-94 at Rawson Avenue in Milwaukee County," WisDOT said in a statement. "To accomplish this work, WisDOT will be closing I-94 WEST (NB) from 27th Street (Racine/Milwaukee County line) to College Avenue, and I-94 EAST (SB) from Rawson Avenue to Drexel Avenue for 36 hours starting at 9 P.M. on Friday, May 17, 2013 to 9 A.M. on Sunday, May 19, 2013."

The department reminds drivers that all closures are weather-dependent and subject to change.
