MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A fugitive arrested in Madison after a daylong manhunt in south-central Wisconsin will be returned to Illinois.

WKOW-TV (http://bit.ly/YrLgtT ) reports 33-year-old Paris Poe, of Chicago, waived his right to an extradition hearing in Dane County Circuit Court Monday.

Poe was arrested last Thursday on a Madison highway.

An FBI swat team and law enforcement officers from several local departments scoured a three-square-mile area after confirming Poe had been at a Fitchburg hotel. Schools in Madison, Fitchburg and Verona locked down during the search.

FBI officials say Poe is wanted for violating the terms of his parole for an armed robbery conviction and is a person-of-interest in a federal murder investigation.
