MILWAUKEE - A 17-year-old has been identified after being killed in a shooting at Washington Park in Milwaukee.

Police say Daniel Gardner was shot and killed at about 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Authorities say they're trying to find the shooter.

"We are very early in the investigation, however we believe that the suspect and the victim knew each other," Stanmeyer said. "The suspect fled after shooting the victim and is not in custody."

Our crew on scene reported Gardner was at the park with his girlfriend and a younger child in a stroller.

According to Milwaukee Common Council President Willie Hines, the shooting seemed to be an isolated incident.

Hines' aldermanic district includes Washington Park.
