WAUKESHA - The parents of a man accused in a triple murder in Lafayette County say they tried warning mental health professionals that their son was delusional and possibly dangerous.

Jaren Kuester's parents tell the Wisconsin State Journal that workers at Waukesha County Health and Human Services disagreed with them and did not detain him.

Kuester, who's 31 years old, lives in Waukesha.  He was assessed April 25th and the agency's director said he didn't meet any of the criteria defined by state law that would have allowed the county to detain him against his wishes.

Three people were found murdered in a home in Lafayette County on April 28.  Kuester is being held on 3 tentative charges of first-degree intentional homicide.
