Half marathon inspires thousands of runners
KENOSHA, Wis. - A poster along the Wisconsin Half Marathon in Kenosha this morning read, "I just ran 13 point 1 miles, how did you start your day?"
Thousands registered for the race, like Sarah Gunter from northern Illinois, that got underway at 7am and although the rain had threatened, it didn't fall.
Cooler temps also made for a good day to run.
A band played at the end of the race where runners and those who cheered them on celebrated together.
Gunter says she finished the race in two hours and 18 minutes and it certainly helped to hear folks cheering along the route.
