High speed crash leaves West Allis man in the hospital
WEST ALLIS - A high speed police chase in West Allis lands one man in the hospital in serious condition.
Police say a 27-year-old man from West Allis got into a fight with another person at 62nd and Greenfield, and threats were made.
Police tried to stop the suspect, but say he took off, flying through a neighborhood until he crashed right into a lawn.
“It sounded almost like a cartoon explosion. Loud screech, loud boom,” said neighbor Damian Desautelle.
“It was a big boom or crash. I thought it was thunderstorm,” neighbor Aileen Lanz added.
Police say alcohol and speed are factors. They are still investigating.
