WASHINGTON - LeRoy Butler, a former Green Bay Packers safety, will be appearing on the CNN show "Anderson Cooper 360" on Thursday night.

Butler tweeted on Wednesday that a speaking engagement with a church in Wisconsin was canceled after he tweeted support of NBA player Jason Collins' announcement that he is gay.

"The church told Butler he needed to remove his tweet, apologize and ask for God's forgiveness. When he declined, the church canceled his appearance," said the Journal Sentinel.

"Anderson Cooper 360" airs starting at 7 p.m. Central Time.
