Police chase suspect in serious condition after West Allis rollover crash
WEST ALLIS - Police say a suspect in a chase this morning is in serious condition after their car landed in someone's front lawn in West Allis following a crash.
It happened at about 1:30 a.m. Thursday near the corner of South 76th Street and West Walker Avenue.
Police say that at about 1:10 a.m., police found out about an argument near 62nd and Greenfield.
Officers found the vehicle near 76th and Greenfield.
Authorities say that when an officer tried to pull the vehicle over, the 27-year-old suspect sped away going north on 76th.
The vehicle hit a hydrant, a number of trees, then flipped and ended up in the front yard of a home.
The roof was torn off, and a witness says debris lines the front lawns of several West Allis homes.
Police say the suspect was taken to a local hospital, and has been listed in serious condition.
Investigators say alcohol and speed were involved in the crash.
According to the witness, a tow truck also took away a squad car from the scene.
Authorities continue to investigate the complete incident.
