Benedictine monk charged with attempting to abduct teenage girl
ANTIOCH - A monk in northern Wisconsin has been charged with trying to abduct a teenage girl.
Antioch police say Thomas Chmura pulled up next to the 14-year-old girl and told her to get into his car. She refused and ran away.
Police later spotted Chmura driving up to another group of girls, but he fled.
They later found and arrested him. The monk admitted he's been trying to offer rides to teenage girls for about six weeks.
