MILWAUKEE- Milwaukee Police are investigating the second officer-involved shooting in less than a week.

Officers responded at about 10:30 Saturday night to a home in the 2600 block of 71st street to a report of a man threatening a family member with knives. They told the man to drop the knives, but instead he charged at the officers, one of whom shot and killed him.

The officer who shot the man has been with the Milwaukee Police Department for 21 years. The officers involved in the shooting have been put on administrative duty, as is standard department practice.
