Today marks end end of an era for the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight. There was a water cannon salute Saturday morning at Mitchell International Airport. More than 200 WWII vets boarded a Delta 757. This is the 17th Honor Flight out of Milwaukee, and will be the last flight exclusively for WWII veterans. The next honor flight will include Korean War veterans.

Tonight, you can welcome them home! Thousands of family members are expected at Mitchell Airport for a homecoming parade. Be at the airport by 8 p.m.

Tom Murray was privileged to speak with four of the vets on today's flight just before takeoff. Here is his report.
