Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke says damage from flooding in just Milwaukee County has increased to $138,000,000.
That number includes an estimated $99,000,000 in damage to private homes.
11,488 homes reported some damage in the county. 325 businesses reported damage totaling $8,100,000. 11 farms reported $419,000 in damage.
The most home damage came from West Allis, where the county damage assessment totaled $36,000,000. Milwaukee followed next, at slightly over $23,000,000, followed by South Milwaukee at $12,000,000.
The biggest level of damage to businesses came from Cudahy at $5,000,000, while the city of Milwaukee reached $1,000,000 in damage to businesses.
Milwaukee County is a federally declared disaster area. That means federal assistance will be available for people who have damage here.
