Lucky find at Goodwill turns into a Green and Gold discovery
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- An ordinary looking jacket, bought at the West Mason Goodwill store has ties to one of the most important moments in Packers history.
The suit jacket has a name on the tag. "Aaron Rodgers 4/18/05." It is reportedly the same jacket Rodgers wore on draft day 2005 when the Packers picked the future Super Bowl and NFL MVP.
That draft was significant in Packers history. Rodgers, projected to be a top level first round selection, fell to 24th overall. Green Bay picked Rodgers with Brett Favre still on the roster and entrenched as the Packers starting quarterback.
The jacket currently up for auction and is going for $600.
