EAST TROY - Fire crews were taking Thursday morning to battle a fire consuming an apartment building in East Troy.

The fire has been burning in an apartment near Main Street since early Friday morning.

"I'm OK, but I'm nervous," said Kay Reich, who had to escape the fire.  "Didn't have much time to get anything, just myself and my neighbor's dog."

"I saw the flames from two blocks away.  The place was totally engulfed," said Jeff Morgan, who talked to TODAY'S TMJ4's Nick Montes.

He claims everyone was able to make it out safely.

A witness sent pictures to TODAY'S TMJ4 which shows what appears to be the front of the building engulfed in flames from the ground to above the roof.

Another picture shows fire trucks on the scene, and thick smoke pouring out of the building.

There was no initial word on any injuries or what may have started the fire.
