Student arrested at Nicolet High after telling police he had a gun
GLENDALE - A student has been suspended from Nicolet High School after allegedly telling police he had a gun.
According to the Journal Sentinel, the 17-year-old junior showed up to school Tuesday morning "acting suspicious". He fled from a school employee who told him to take off his belt.
"The school police officer pursued him and saw him come out of a pedestrian tunnel under Interstate 43 into the school parking lot," according to Lydia Mulvaney with the Journal Sentinel. "When she confronted him, he said he had a gun. The officer drew her firearm, and the student said he was joking."
The student was arrested for disorderly conduct, and the school's security director later found a knife in the tunnel.
Mulvaney reports that the student has been "suspended indefinitely" from school until a hearing next week.
