West Allis bank robbed by possible repeat offender
WEST ALLIS - Police are looking for a bank robber who robbed a bank in West Allis Tuesday afternoon, April 23, just after 2 p.m.
The bank is located at South 67th Street and West National Avenue.
The man is described as a black male, 6 feet 1 inch with a medium build, 180 lbs., with a large nose.
He was wearing a dark/black coat with a “Lite” logo on left chest, a black brimmed hat with a Celtic cross and possible red color logo on front.
Police said the man appears to be left-handed, based on the video. No weapon was displayed, but the man held up a note saying, “This is a robbery."
West Allis Police believes the robbery is possibly related to two other recent armed robberies in West Allis, because it appears to be same suspect based on video.
The first robbery occurred on March 26, 2013, at South 85th Street and West Greenfield Avenue.
The second robbery occurred on April 15, 2013, at a liquor store at South 78th and West Becher Streets.
Police said that in the prior robberies, someone saw a silver four-door car which may have been a Nissan Maxima.
According to police, the suspect was armed with a semi-automatic weapon in those prior cases.
