Chief Flynn reacts to plea deal in police strip search case
MILWAUKEE - On Tuesday, Milwaukee's police chief reacted to that controversial plea deal for an officer who conducted illegal strip searches.
Police Chief Flynn is acknowledging the Milwaukee Police illegal strip search case strained the relationship between his department and the black community.
"We're judged by the conduct of those who fall short,” he said. “So certainly it can hurt morale and injure our pride."
Just this week, prosecutors struck a plea deal with charged officer Michael Vagnini. He faces losing his job and almost certain jail or prison time. But, charges have dismissed that would have forced vagnini to register as a sex offender.
